CES 2015 LIQUID IMAGE ADDS VERIZON XLTE AND STREAMING METADATA MAKING THE EGO LS THE ULTIMATE CONNECTED CAMERA

Las Vegas, NV January 4th, 2015 – Liquid Image Ego LS camera is now enabled to stream over the Verizon 4G LTE network including XLTE allowing for fast live streaming. The Ego LS is also enabled to integrate streaming metadata from other peripheral connected devices such as biometrics, geolocation, and other sensor information.  The Ego LS will be demonstrated over the Verizon Wireless Network at the International CES show January 7th-10th. This product is anticipated to ship first quarter 2015.

The Ego LS is a multi-functional connected device that pairs a wearable camera with a variety of wireless features. The wireless features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Low Frequency RF. The device can transmit video and images over 4G LTE as well as through Wi-Fi. It can connect to other devices and remote controls through local networks or direct connections. The live transmission is useful for applications that range from Public Safety and Security to Promotional and Social uses. The end user may choose to utilize a private or a public network depending on their specific needs.

The initial launch of the Ego LS was delayed from 2014 to the first quarter of 2015 in order for the camera to support Verizon XLTE. Having dual Bands supported by the Verizon Wireless Network will increase video streaming capacity for the Ego LS device.  During this extended development time the size and form factor of the 4G LTE Sled was optimized. Incorporation of API from third party peripheral devices was also initiated. This incorporation allows metadata to be transferred live from peripheral devices for specific applications and vertical markets. A list of peripheral devices will be available at the launch of the Ego LS and with each firmware update to the product.

CES 2015 tradeshow attendees can visit Liquid Image in South Hall booth #31506 to view live demonstrations.  For additional information please see the Ego LS Use Case Scenarios and Ego LS Specifications. Details regarding mounts and accessories will be available when the Ego LS ships in 2015.

The Ego LS Model 800 is estimated to retail at $399.99 in the US. The first shipment, estimated to release in the first quarter of 2015, will be certified for the Verizon Wireless Network. International markets currently in development are estimated to follow in second or third quarter of 2015 for the UK, Europe, Russia, Japan and Canada.
