Ingredients

Matcha powder = 1 tsp.

Sugared shredded coconut = 14 oz.

Sugary condensed milk = 3/4 cups

Vanilla extract = 1 tsp.

Egg whites = 2

Kosher salt = 1/2 tsp.

Making Matcha Coconut Macaroons

Move 1    

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a parchment paper baking sheet and put aside.

In a big bowl, mix matcha powder and coconut. After that add vanilla extract and sugared condensed milk, and stir all of it till it blends.

Move 2    

In another bowl, club together salt and the egg whites until thickened peaks appear. Now, combine the coconut mixture with the egg whites to form 2-inch piles onto the parchment paper baking sheets at a distance of 1 inch each. Now, bake for around 20 minutes, or until the top surface starts turning brown.

Making Almond Milk Matcha Smoothie 

Take a bowl and soak the medjool date and almonds in it with a cup of water, and let it rest overnight. The next morning drain the water and add date and almonds in your blender as well as pineapple, banana, ginger, and matcha powder alongside a fresh cup of water.

Keep your blender running until a smooth texture appears.

All-purpose flour = 2 cups

Matcha powder = 2 tbsp + 1 tsp.

Baking powder = 2 tsp.

Ground cardamom = 1/8 tsp.

Granulated sugar = 3/4 cup

Kosher salt = 1/2 tsp.

Canola oil = 2/3 cup

Vanilla extract = 1/2 tsp.

Almond extract = 1/4 tsp.

Eggs = 2

Confectioners’ sugar = 1/4 cup

Making Matcha Tea Cake Cookies

Move 1    

In a bowl, whip the baking powder, flour, cardamom, and salt. Now take another bowl to whisk the oil, eggs, granulated sugar, almond, and vanilla extracts.

Your third bowl will stir 2 tbsp of matcha tea powder with 2 tbsp of water until a smooth, wet texture forms. Blend these wet ingredients with the flour mixture until they become one.

Move 2    

You can use an ice cream scoop to make 1-inch dough balls. Make sure to place them 2-inches apart on parchment paper baking sheets. Put the sheets in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.

Move 3

Preheat your oven to 177°C to bake matcha tea cake cookies for 10 minutes until the bottoms are marginally brown. Allow the cookies to cool down for at least 10 minutes before transferring them to a rack for a complete cooldown.

Move 4

Line up the cookies on one baking sheet, and mix the confectioners’ sugar with the 1 tsp. of matcha in a sieve.

The herbal tones of matcha powder teams seamlessly with aromatic leeks on this scrumptiously juicy roast chicken recipe. Remember, matcha’s flavor blossoms when mixed with butter. Therefore, stuff the blend under your chicken’s skins for a crispy, delicious serving of four.

Ingredients

Whole chicken = 3 pound

Matcha powder = 1 tbsp

Room temperature butter (unsalted) = 6 tbsp

Leeks = 5 (4 1/4 pounds)

Smashed garlic = 6 cloves

Olive oil = 2 tbsp

Chopped flat-leaf parsley = 2 tsp.

Black pepper

Salt

Making Matcha Roast Chicken (with Leeks)

Move 1 

Preheat the oven to 246°C and mash butter in a bowl with a fork until it smoothens. Now stir 1 tsp. salt with matcha powder until an even blend forms.

Move 2 

Gently place your forefinger under the chicken’s skins to remove it from the thighs and breast. Now, stuff matcha butter scoops underneath the skin of the thighs and breasts and press it to spread it uniformly.

Rub the leftover matcha butter on the chicken’s outer surface, and sprinkle a generous amount of salt and pepper on it.

Move 3

Start peeling off the outer layers of your leeks until you have about 8” of light green and white parts of each one. After that, chop off the sturdy green parts to make a handful and remove the rest.

Now, cut the leeks into 1” thick round and wash them thoroughly to eliminate any contamination. Thereafter, put leeks with olive oil in a bowl, and splash it with salt and pepper.

Arrange the leeks on a baking sheet in a manner of forming a bed for the chicken, and fill up the inside of the chicken with chopped greens and garlic. Lastly, tie the chicken legs with kitchen twine and put it on the bed of leeks.

Move 4

It’s recommended to bake your chicken for about 20 minutes before reducing the oven temperature to 246°C to continue cooking until the skin becomes crisp and the chicken turns golden brown.

Move 5

Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes. After that, cut the chicken into serving pieces. Now, place the pan juices and scraped leeks into a bowl and club together until uniformly coated. Move the leeks on a platter and place your crisp, golden-brown chicken atop the vegetables.

Lastly, sprinkle your chicken with parsley.
